
Main causes of death in Spain in 2020, by gender
In 2020, neoplasms were the main cause of death among men, with close to 290 deaths per 100,000 men. Diseases of the circulatory system ranked second, with an average of 241 deaths per 100,000 men. For women, the main cause of death were circulatory system diseases, followed by neoplasms. Both genders were also strongly affected by infectious and parasitic diseases.
