The graph shows that the number of vacant dwellings in all districts has been steadily decreasing year on year with some fluctuation between 2007 and 2009 and again between 2016 and 2018. Shire districts saw the highest amount of all vacant dwellings in 2008 with 344,066. That number has since fallen to 258.4 thousand as of 2018 but is on the rise again.
