This statistic illustrates a breakdown of people who occupied social rented homes in England in 2018/2019, by household type. It can be seen that the largest share of respondents in the category of social renters were females living alone, with a share of 21.4 percent of social renters. With a share of 6.8 percent, more than twice as many social renters were lone parents with independent child(ren) when compared to lone parents with dependent and independent child(ren) (2.6 percent) at that time. Finally, lone person sharing with other lone persons made up the smallest share of social renters at that time, a share of 1.8 percent.
