Taxes on tobacco products in Denmark 2022
In Denmark, cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, as well as rolling papers are taxed per unit, whereas other tobacco products (finely and roughly chopped smoking tobacco, chewing tobacco, snus and other smokeless tobacco) are burdened per kilogram. The tax per kilogram on fine smoking tobacco amounted to 1550.9 Danish kroner in 2022. Cigarette tax was 193.54 øre per unit. In this year, the tax per kilogram on smoking tobacco in Sweden amounted to 1,997 Swedish kronor and cigarette tax was 1.64 Swedish kronor per unit.
