Paid circulation volume of magazines by publication in France 2019

The weekly television listings magazine TV Magazine was the most popular French magazines in terms of paid circulation volume, with more than four million copies sold per publication in France. Owned by the Le Figaro group, the magazine provides event, broadcast programming, movie and music information for the upcoming week.

Le Figaro, first French newspaper

Known for its center-right editorial line, Le Figaro is the oldest French national daily newspaper and also one of the largest. As of 2019, Le Figaro came in first place of the ranking of national daily newspapers in paid outreach, closely followed by Le Monde. On average, Le Figaro issued a total of 25 publications monthly in 2019.

Newspapers and magazines reading habits

While the number of people who consume news online has skyrocketed over time, the share of readers of digital newspapers and magazines has slightly increased and accounts for a little more than half the respondents. As a matter of comparison, a third of the French population claim to read general newspapers and magazines regularly and about the same amount sometimes.
