In that year, Microsoft’s sales revenue reached 118.2 billion U.S. dollars. Oracle and SAP ranked in distant second and third places, earning 39.6 and 29.1 billion U.S. dollars respectively.

The industry is forecast to continuing growing, with revenue projection for 2020 reaching 462 billion U.S. dollars.
