Perceptions of news and fake news in Canada 2017
The graph shows the consumer perceptions of news and fake news in Canada as of May 2017. It was found that 65 percent of respondents either strongly or somewhat agreed that they have falsely believed a news story to be true until discovering otherwise, and 35 percent strongly or somewhat agreed that they did not know how to differentiate between real and fake news.
