As of the second quarter of 2019, the share of women in senior ministerial roles (the Cabinet) in the United Kingdom was 21.7 percent, the lowest it has been since 2014. Since 2004 the share of women in the UK cabinet has fluctuated quite a lot since 2004, with 2006 and 2017 having the join-highest proportion of women in the cabinet at 34.8 percent.
