Brazil: leading taxi apps by number of users 2020

As of 2020, Uber had around 22 million users in Brazil, while taxi app 99 – owned by Beijing-based company Didi Chuxing – had approximately 18 million users in the South American country. Furthermore, 70 percent of ride-hailing app users surveyed in Brazil said they used Uber, whereas 23 percent mentioned Didi's 99.
