Share of transactions in senior housing market in the U.S. H1 2021, by buyer type
In the first half of 2021, over 47 percent of the buyers in the senior housing market in the United States were private buyers and 26 percent were listed or REITs. The share of private buyers has remained relatively steady over the past five years, but the share of institutional buyers, and REITs or listed buyers have varied significantly over the same period.
