The view of people in the United States who support the statement that immigrants strengthen the country differed by party from 1994 to 2020. In 2020, 84 percent of respondents who identified as Democrats believe immigrants strengthen the United States. In contrast, the share of Republicans was 32 percent, a significantly larger difference than the 30 percent for Republicans and 32 percent for Democrats in 1994.
