In 2022, the return rate for apartments in the United States was over seven percent . The NCREIF Property Index reflects the change in prices of commercial real estate for investment purposes. Commercial real estate refers to buildings such as retail real estate (different types of stores and shopping malls), office buildings or warehouses. The return from investment in such type of real estate can result from capital gain of income from property rental.
