The number of medico-legal examinations conducted following alleged sexual offenses in Colombia has been rising throughout recent years. In 2019, over 26 thousand of such examinations were performed across the South American country, the highest number since at least 2008.

Overall, the number of cases of interpersonal violence in Colombia has been oscillating lately.
