This chart shows the percentage of people in the United Kingdom (UK) who are worried about the disappearance of their local high street as of 2018. Northern England had the highest percentage of Brits worried about the closing down or downsizing of shops typically lining the high street in the UK. Scotland followed Northern England with 63.5 percent of its people expressing their concern about the future of the high street. Other regions in the UK including South East, South West, and Central England also revealed that over 50 percent of Brits were worried about the high street dying.
