The first televised Democratic debate, which involved ten of the 2020 candidates that qualified to take part, took place last night in Miami. Elizabeth Warren went into the event as the leading hopeful on show (Biden and Sanders are in the second debate), and as Google Trends data shows, hers was the most searched name around the U.S. in the build up. During the debate though it was Tulsi Gabbard, keen to mention her military service at any opportunity, that became the most Googled in most states, with Warren only staying in first place in Oklahoma.
