Global paper and board consumption distribution 2021, by region
Asia was the world's largest consumer of paper and board in 2021, accounting for 49.6 percent of the 428.5 million metric tons of paper and board consumed globally that year. In a distant second place that year was the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) with 17.5 percent.
