Brazil: soybean oil consumption 2010-2019

In 2019, consumption of soybean oil in Brazil amounted to approximately 7.3 million metric tons, slightly up from nearly 7.2 million tons a year earlier. In comparison to 2010, this represents an increase of over 40 percent in consumption. That same year, production of soybean oil in the country reached 8.4 million tons.
In Brazil, soybean oil is, amongst others, used for biodiesel production.
