Sales percentage change of supermarkets in Italy 2024, by type

In Italy, in June 2022, large-sized supermarkets performed the best in terms of sales value. According to a study, supermarkets with a surface area between 1,500 and 2,499 squared meters reported the only positive growth (0.3 percent) in their sales, if compared to the same period of the previous year. Mid-sized stores between 800 and 1,499 squared meters, on the contrary, registered the highest negative percentage change(-0.4 percent).
