In 2018, 63 of the 742 people who were registered in the Netherlands as possible victims of human trafficking were minors. Of the minors registered as possible victims of exploitation by CoMensha in 2018, approximately half were 17 years of age, while 20 of the newly registered underage victims registered were 15 years or younger.

The age of a victim at registration often, but not always, lies close to the age they were when the exploitation began. In some cases the age at registration can be months or years apart from the start of the exploitation.

Of the 128 victims whose age is unknown, 120 are adults.

CoMensha provides an insight into the nature and extent of human trafficking and registers possible victims of human trafficking. The reason the term 'possible' victims is used is that in a chain approach there is no definitive set of criteria that a person must fulfill in order to be a 'real' victim of trafficking.

The figures concern the newly registered possible victims of human trafficking.
