In 2017, there were about 28 malicious code incidents on mobile devices. In these past few years, there were a lot of incidents in Malaysia in which a scammer claimed to be from a Malaysian law enforcement agency (LEA) and sent the victim a link via a mobile messaging app and instructed the victim to click on a phishing link. The mobiles would then be affected by malicious mobile apps which would share credential information to the scammer.
