Vietnam: main reasons against buying wearable tech by age 2019

According to a survey by Rakuten Insight, older respondents stated that they did not see the need for a smartwatch or fitness tracker while younger respondents claimed that they already had a smartphone with satisfactory functions. In the same survey, less than half of the respondents stated that they owned a smart wearable.

The survey was conducted among 881 female and 736 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
