Mexico: number of private elementary schools 2014-2021
The number of private elementary schools in Mexico has been steadily increasing since the academic year 2014/2015. As of 2021, there were approximately 9,200 primary schools of private ownership in Mexico, up from 8,800 at the beginning of the studied period. Elementary school enrollment is mandatory in Mexico. Children attending this level of education are usually between six and twelve years of age.
