Latin America & Caribbean: foreign debt interest 2010-2020

It was estimated that the external debt interest paid by Latin American and Caribbean countries will amount to nearly 82 billion U.S. dollars by 2020. This would represent almost 1.5 percent of the region's total GDP. The amount paid due to foreign debt interests in Latin America and the Caribbean has been steadily increasing since 2010.
