CEE: production value of wearing apparel 2020

In 2020, Poland achieved the highest production value of clothing among Central and Eastern European countries. The value of production on the clothing market in Poland amounted to over 2.2 billion euros. Furthermore, Poland was the only country from the CEE region that exceeded the value of two million euros of apparel production.

The production value is defined as turnover, plus or minus the changes in stocks of finished products, work in progress and goods and services purchased for resale, minus the purchases of goods and services for resale, plus capitalised production, plus other operating income (excluding subsidies). Income and expenditure classified as financial or extra-ordinary in company accounts is excluded from production value."
