In 2018, a representative survey was conducted on sex in Denmark. Among other topics, the survey examined gender identities in the Danish population. According to the results, 0.1 percent of the Danes identified themselves as either transgender men or transgender women. There were slightly more people who identified as non-binary. In detail, 0.3 percent of the respondents identified as non-binary women, while 0.14 percent identified as non-binary men. The majority of the Danish population identified themselves as either cisgender men or women.
