The chart presents the share of deaths attributed to modifiable risk behavior in Italy. The analysis conducted in 2017 estimated that 16 percent of deaths occurred in Italy were caused by bad dietary behavior that could have been modified. Moreover, 14 percent of deaths were attributed to tobacco smoking, whereas only four percent to alcohol consumption.
