Key figures on Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline 2020

Nord Stream 2 is an approximately 1,230-kilometer-long natural gas pipeline connecting Ust-Luga, Russia and Greifswald, Germany through the Baltic Sea. Under construction since 2018, the pipeline goes under territorial waters of Denmark, Finland, Germany, Russia, and Sweden. The pipeline was expected by the Russian presidents Vladimir Putin to be ready by the end of 2020 of the first quarter of 2021. The U.S. imposed sanctions on companies involved in the project.
