Sense of security from panic buying during coronavirus in Taiwan 2020
According to a survey on consumer behavior during coronavirus outbreak conducted by Rakuten Insight in April 2020, panic buying was not common in Taiwan. Around 90 percent of those Taiwanese respondents who had stocked up on groceries said that they felt safe after stockpiling. The same survey found that about 19 percent of panic buying in the island happened on e-commerce platforms.
