Peru: share of women who had an abortion by education level 2018

In a survey conducted in October 2018 in Peru, around 45 percent of women who said they had undergone an abortion had some kind of higher education. The highest share (46 percent) was made up of women who had finished secondary school. Abortion in Peru is mostly illegal, except from cases in which the life or health of the woman is at risk.
