Brazil: states most prone to landslides 2019
In 2019, an area of close to 1.4 million square kilometers was estimated to be at high or very high risk of landslide or mudslide in Brazil. The most affected state was Minas Gerais, with nearly 285 thousand square kilometers of land categorized as highly or very highly susceptible to this phenomenon. ParĂ¡ was the second Brazilian state with most land at risk of landslide, at around 142 thousand square kilometers. Brazil is also one of the
