Average beet sugar yield in selected European countries in 2018/19 and 2020/21
In 2019/2020, the United Kingdom saw a yield of 11.6 tons of sugar from sugar beets per hectare or farmed land. This puts the UK almost one ton of sugar per hectare above the EU average (EU-27 plus the UK). For the following year an increase in yield for the UK and EU-28 is forecast.
