Avoidance of food waste by age group UK 2020

In 2019/2020, asked in a survey whether or not they avoid any food waste compared to a year ago, roughly 53 percent of respondents 65 years of age and older strongly agreed that they did so. The share of those who disagreed strongly among this age group came to zero percent. A larger share of respondents in this group and in the group of the 55 to 64 year old respondents (both reached a combined total of 81 percent) agreed overall (strongly and slightly) than in the other groups.
