Coffee sales in Kenya 2021-2023
In May 2023, coffee sales in Kenya amounted to some 1.37 thousand metric tons, a huge increase compared to 0.49 metric tons sold in May 2022. In June 2022, 0.3 thousand metric tons of the item were sold, the lowest level registered throughout the period under review. Coffee is an important commodity in Africa, especially in the East part of the continent. In Kenya, the industry is known for its cooperative system of production. Arabica, a high quality mild coffee, is the predominant type produced in the country.
