Agriculture growth rate in Kenya from 2017 to 2021
The agricultural sector in Kenya did not grow in 2021, despite a significant growth in 2020 during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That year, the sector expanded by nearly three percent. However, the sector continues to play a critical role for Kenya's economy with just over 22 percent (including fishery and forestry) contribution to the country's GDP in 2021.
