Sheep and goats slaughtered in Kenya 2016-2021
As of 2021, some 9.4 million heads of sheep and goats were slaughtered in Kenya. The amount decreased the previous year this can be partially attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, which have resulted in lower levels of social gatherings and festivities. From 2016 onwards, the slaughtering of sheep and goats grew substantially in the country. For instance, around 8.2 million heads were slaughtered that year.
