Main livestock species in Kenya 2020
Poultry was the largest species of livestock in Kenya as of 2020. That year, there were around 57 million heads of chickens in the country. Goats followed, with approximately 36 million heads. Moreover, Kenya summed 25.3 million heads of sheep and some 21.7 million heads of cattle.
