E-commerce increased its popularity among clothing shoppers in Brazil in 2019, according to a survey. That year, 17 percent of Brazilian respondents said that they preferred online platforms when shopping for new clothes. This shows an increase of three percentage points in relation to the results of the 2017 survey. However, physical stores are still the first choice to purchase apparel for the majority of consumers surveyed in the South American country, despite a decrease of three percentage points between 2017 and 2019. That last year, 79 percent of respondents chose that store format as their preferred channel to buy apparel.
