Clothing and footwear: share of household spending in Europe 2021, by country
This statistic displays the percentage share of household expenditure going on clothing and footwear in selected European, split by country in 2021. In France, just over three percent of consumption expenditure was on clothing and footwear. This was higher than Ireland, where the clothing and footwear share of expenditure was just over four percent. However, in Turkey, the clothing and footwear share of expenditure was some seven percent, which is the highest share recorded among the analyzed countries.
