The Major League Baseball is a North American sports organization comprising two leagues with a total of 30 teams: the National League and the American League. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic hitting the sport industry in 2020, the MLB season was shortened from its usual 162 games to a 6-game season. During a May 2020 survey in the United States, 44 percent of respondents stated that winning the MLB World Series after the 60-game season would be less meaningful than doing so after the full 162 games.
