Overall, the total freight traffic volume on the Swiss Federal Railways rail network has remained relatively flat over the last few years, fluctuating between just under 47 and 53.5 million net tonnes. 2021 reported the second lowest freight volume during this time frame, with around 48 million net tonnes of freight hauled on the SBB network.
