Tanzania: share of mineral recovery 2020, by geographical zone

As of December 2020, the Lake zone in Tanzania was responsible for 75.8 percent of minerals recovered in the country. In the fourth quarter of that year, the total value of mineral recovery in Tanzania was roughly 702 million U.S. dollars. The Lake zone, where the five main Tanzanian gold mines are located, accounted for 532.7 million U.S. dollars.
