Production volume of sand and stone in Zanzibar 2020
Sand was the main quarry product in Zanzibar as of 2020. Over 460 thousand metric tons of sand were mined in the semi-autonomous region of Tanzania. That same year, the output volume of stones was measured at some 130 thousand metric tons, while 34.4 thousand metric tons of limestone were produced on the archipelago.
