Indigenous malaria cases by age in Morocco 2010-2016
As of 2016, the age group in Morocco predominantly infected by malaria was composed of people 15 years and above. From 2010 onwards, malaria patients aged below 15 years, including babies, were least infected compared to other age groups. Since 1999, Morocco's Ministry of Health together with the Eastern Mediterranean WHO regional office set up a strategy spread over five years to eliminate indigenous malaria.
