In a survey conducted in 2020, to analyze the changing consumer sentiments concerning the COVID-19 pandemic in India, about 56 percent of respondents from tier-1 cities preferred to spend no money on fashion accessories. The customers in tier-3 cities, contrary to tier-1 and tier-2 cities, were more inclined towards spending more than five thousand rupees on fashion accessories.
