According to a survey on mobile consumption in the Middle East region in 2019, 70 percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) used WhatsApp on daily basis. In comparison, Skype witnessed the largest decrease in daily app consumption among respondents from 38 percent in 2017 to 25 percent in 2019.
