Agricultural area in Algeria 2021, by crop type
In 2021, over 1.36 million hectares of agricultural land in Algeria were under wheat cultivation. Moreover, the areas used for barley and olives corresponded, respectively, to approximately 525 thousand and 440 thousand hectares in the same year. Smaller land areas were devoted to other main agricultural outputs in the country, such as dates, potatoes, and grapes.
