Meat production in Algeria 2016-2018, by type
In 2018, nearly 10.7 million quintals of meat were produced in Algeria. Red and white meat accounted for approximately half of the production each. A similar distribution was observed in the two previous years. However, while red meat production decreased by 2018, white meat registered a constant increment.
