U.S. seniors housing investment sales outlook 2020

Seniors housing has become increasingly popular among investors in recent years, but the COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted investor appetite. According to an August 2020 survey, 40.9 percent of respondents expected a decrease in the volume of property sales transactions in the seniors housing sector in the United States over the following 12 months. This is a large rise as compared to the year before, when only 11.4 percent of respondents expected a decrease. This large difference might be explained by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has hit the seniors housing investment market.
