Trade deficit value in Romania 1998-2025
The biggest difference between Romania's import and export value was recorded in 2008, at 23.5 billion euros. Subsequently, the trade deficit remained at around ten billion euros for some years and increased up to 18.4 billion euros by 2020. However, it is expected that the trade deficit would peak at nearly 30 billion euros by 2025.
