Russia: parallel import value 2022

The value of parallel imports in Russia was forecast to accumulate to 15 billion U.S. dollars by December 2022. To compare, the figure stood at two billion U.S. dollars in mid-June 2022. From August 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia extended the list of products allowed for parallel import, to include auto goods, radio-electronic products, photographic equipment, and cosmetic brands. The program was planned to be extended until the end of 2023 to support the entry of required goods into the country.

When calculating the figures, the source used the average value of parallel imports in the amount of 2-2.5 billion U.S. dollars per month.
